About
Purple Urchin (otherwise known as P.U.) makes homemade bath and body products that smell simply fabulous. The Ottawa-based company was founded in 2006 with the goal of making all-natural soaps, balms and moisturizers made entirely without synthetic preservatives, detergents or phthalates. P.U. met their goal handily, and continues to make products that are gentle on our bodies and the environment.
Why We Love Them
Purple Urchin knows the recipe for success. Actually, they know several of these recipes, because they invented them. Everything they make is from scratch, and includes ingredients they’ve researched and tested thoroughly – without harming any animals, of course.
Their natural soaps feature some of the most eclectic scents we’ve had the pleasure of sniffing. Ginger, clove, rosemary, eucalyptus, fig, goat’s milk, lavender, blackberry – “scentsational”! Sea salts, scrubs and body butter work their magic on our skin, leaving us soft and glowing. Moisturizers and cleansers come packed with essential oils, lending their natural healing properties while giving us a fresher look.
