Maman Kangourou
About
In 2003, two young moms started making baby carriers inspired by traditional carriers worn in Colombia, from where they both hailed. When other parents wanted carriers of their own, the two moms decided to go into business, and with that, Maman Kangourou was born.
The Gatineau, Quebec-based company is a pioneer in baby-wearing, innovating the way carriers are made. They’re also environmentally conscious and socially responsible. All their products, including clothing and baby accessories, are woven, dyed and crafted entirely in Canada. And Maman Kangourou collaborates with various organizations to promote the benefits of baby wearing.
Why We Love Them
Who wouldn’t love something that makes it easier to hold baby up close? Maman Kangourou’s flexible baby carriers come in a variety of models so you can find the perfect fit for you and your “joey.” Each carrier is comfortable, secure, ergonomic and a breeze to get into.
Our hats are off to Maman Kangourou’s “Babies Helping Babies” campaign. The company collects lightly used baby carries (of any brand) and redistributes them to new families in need – in Canada and around the world. They’re passionate about the importance of baby wearing and are devoted to helping parents and children everywhere build better bonds.
It’s hard to think of many things that are more important to a sustainable future for everyone.
