Glerups
About
Back in 1993, Nanny Glerup started producing slippers made of felted wool on a small scale, simply as a hobby. When friends and family raved about them and started asking for more, she decided to launch Glerups. With the help of her husband, Ove Glerup, she has developed and refined the products, offering a range of styles – slip-on, the shoe and the ankle boot – and a variety of rich colours. We’re warning you: these cozy gems are highly addictive!
Why We Love Them
Glerups make stylish, woolly slippers, shoes and boots designed to give you a case of the warm and fuzzies!
Made from 100% wool, you are encouraged not to wear socks when wearing this felted footwear because wool absorbs moisture, keeping your feet warm and dry. Better yet, wool resists dirt, retains its appearance, and stays cleaner longer, so just let your Glerups air out and they will stay fresh.
Glerups produces all its products as eco friendly as possible, so the 100% natural wool in their products is treated as gently as possible and avoids chemicals. The fleece is sheared twice a year and washed in soft lime-free water. After that, it is washed again and felted in warm soapy water. When the wool is dyed, only non-metallic colours are used.
