Barefoot Books
About
Barefoot Books was founded by two mothers, Nancy Traversy and Tessa Strickland, who believed in the power of imagination, respect for diversity and a love of the planet. Every book that Barefoot Books publishes is a combination of beautiful art and meaningful stories that respect the innate wisdom of children.
Barefoot Books does not use paper that contains pulp from illegal or unsustainable sources in the manufacture of our books. The company is increasingly using paper that has been graded 3* by the PREPS Grading System or certified by the FSC, the gold standard in forest management and responsibly sourced paper. And, all of the ink used in the books is vegetable-based.
